About the role This casual position is located at the Narrandera Shire Council Works Depot on Barellan Road, Narrandera. The Truck Driver HR – Water Truck is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Council-owned trucks, plant, and equipment to support a range of maintenance and construction activities across the Shire. The role also requires active participation in team building initiatives and staff development programs to foster a positive and productive work environment. The incumbent will be required to work 9.5 hrs per day, for a 4 day week. There will be a casual loading added to the hourly rate. Duties Operate Plant– Plant pre-startup checks need to be undertaken and completed before plant start-up. Plant is to be operated within the operational range illustrated in the operator's manual at all times.Plant Maintenance and Servicing– Minor plant maintenance is to be carried out by the plant operator at a suitable time and location.Plant Cleanliness– It is the responsibility of the operator to assure that the plant is always kept clean and tidy – this includes washing and cleaning of the plant inside and out. Other Duties– This position is required to operate various other plant and do labouring work when required.
