At Narrandera Shire Council, our economic development team is dedicated to promoting and enhancing the unique attractions of Narrandera Shire. Our team continues to explore and incorporate new and innovative approaches to attract visitors and provide exceptional customer service. The Visitor Services Officer aims to deliver quality visitor information services and support the Economic Development team as required. This position is a part time, 22-month fixed term contract and is based on a fortnightly roster of 24.5 hours. The hours are one day per week and every second weekend - Saturday and Sunday. Key responsibilities: Visitor Information Services Provide high level of customer service, phone, online, face to faceCash handling, reconciliation, banking, stock managementProvide support and assistance to VolunteersUpdate data bases and promotional collateralDistribute promotional collateralRetail displayEnsure the centre is maintained in line with agreed standardsProject Assistance Support ongoing development of the Destination Discovery HubSupport Economic Development Projects as requiredSupport Events as required including planning, marketing, logistics, and operations Marketing Promotion Assist with promotion of the Shire as a destination to visit, live and workEnsure the Destination and Discovery Hub has the relevant products to support Marketing Strategies.Identify visitor product development opportunities Culture Our inclusive culture promotes employee engagement and enables us to attract and retain the best talent.
