Mechanical Engineering Technician – Griffith NSW

Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineering Technician to join their excellent manufacturing team in Griffith, NSW. A great salary in the range of $70k to $80k plus superannuation per annum is on the offer. The role is full-time and ongoing.
Responsibilities of this role will include-
Interpret and apply technical drawings, schematics, and specifications to support fabrication of pressure vessels, tanks, and structural components. Collaborate with engineers to validate mechanical designs and ensure their practical application on the workshop floor. Assist foremen and fabrication staff in understanding tolerances, welding sequences, material specifications, and component alignment. Support the QA Manager in inspections, dimensional checks, and testing to ensure compliance with AS 1210, AS 1692, API 650/620, and other relevant standards. Monitor mechanical fabrication processes and recommend improvements to enhance accuracy and reduce production inefficiencies. Identify and report fabrication issues or inconsistencies and assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions. Provide guidance to welding and machine shop teams on mechanical setup, assembly sequencing, and quality expectations. Putting together and installing mechanical parts as part of the manufacturing process as required Document mechanical processes, inspection outcomes, and non-conformance reports as required. Assist with the maintenance and calibration of workshop equipment critical to fabrication and testing. Liaise between engineering and production teams to ensure alignment on technical execution across projects. You should be able to demonstrate the following attributes and strengths to be considered:
Solid track record in this trade and industry Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Highly relevant trade qualifications (minimum relevant Diploma or agreed equivalent) At least 3 years (preferably more) post training professional experience. Solid references. A can-do attitude and team spirit. Great time management skills. You must have unrestricted full time Australian working rights to be considered.
