Little bit about the role As the Senior Key Worker, you will lead and deliver complex operational work while coordinating activities within the HomeConnect program. An outreach initiative supporting individuals and families at risk of homelessness. Using a person-centred and strengths-based approach, you will provide tailored case management to help clients stabilise their housing, address underlying challenges, and build skills for long-term independence. This includes developing individual support plans, coordinating access to housing and support services, and advocating for clients to overcome barriers such as financial hardship, health issues, or family violence. In addition to direct client work, you will mentor and support junior staff, promote best practice in case management, and provide guidance on complex cases. Collaboration with internal teams and external partners will be key to ensuring integrated and effective service delivery. You will also contribute to service improvement by maintaining accurate records, monitoring outcomes and supporting continuous development within the program. Key Selection Criteria Qualifications Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline with 3–5 years’ experience (or equivalent experience in lieu of qualification). Valid Victorian Driver Licence required. Experience Proven experience in client engagement, case management and planning. Strong understanding of issues affecting clients at risk of homelessness, financial hardship, family violence, disability or health concerns. Ability to deliver holistic support and manage program performance and resources. Skilled in conflict resolution and working with complex client needs. Commitment to social justice, empowerment and culturally responsive practice. Skills and Attributes Excellent organisation, time management and communication skills. Demonstrates initiative, sound judgment and teamwork. Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital systems. Why work for us?
