You will play a key part in helping that happen!About the RoleAs a Registered Nurse, you will provide resident/client centred and individualised care to those accessing our services. You will utilise your compassion, genuine passion for caring and lead and influence others with your team to make a positive difference to the quality of life of our residents. You will work with other like minded individuals making up our passionate, caring and committed team.DutiesLead a care team to deliver the highest quality, person-first/individualised, care to our residentsPrepare high-quality care plans and assessmentsMaintain quality care documentationEnsure safe medication administration, best practice wound care and clinical support for our residents, in line with resident needs and legislative requirementsSupport the Clinical leadership team with the management and completion of care assessments in order to ensure we achieve appropriate funding for the care we deliverActively engage in handovers with the Clinical Care Team to ensure continuity of care across shiftsAdhere to all relevant legislative requirements and quality guidelinesSkills and ExperienceRegistration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse – EssentialIdeally 2 – 3 years’ experience working within the aged care sectorThe ability to work as part of a cohesive team and delegate effectively where appropriateExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsA strong understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and OutcomesImportant Requirements:Lutheran Aged Care is a NDIS approved provider. As part of the NDIS scheme, employees working within a NDIS facility, in a risk assessed role, must have a completed NDIS check. This is part of compliance and needs to be completed prior to commencement.All aged care workers must be vaccinated against seasonal influenza and have the relevant COVID and Booster vaccinations in line with State legislation. Evidence of these vaccinations will be required prior to commencement.
