About the role We have an exciting casual opportunity for a Parks and Gardens labourer to join our clients dedicated team, working a 38-hour week, Monday to Friday. This role involves maintaining and enhancing the vibrant green space and landscape at a local ALBURY site. As a key member of the Parks and Gardens team, you will have the opportunity to put your gardening and landscaping expertise into practice and contribute to the ongoing upkeep and beautification of this local site.
What you'll be doing
Perform general gardening and landscaping duties such as mowing, edging, pruning, weeding, and mulching
Maintain the health and appearance of gardens, lawns, and other green spaces
Operate and maintain various gardening equipment and machinery
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with safety guidelines
To assist with the removal of all debris, litter, leaves aggregate and clean up oil spills as necessary.
Planting of horticultural products
Working in an outdoor environment where elements related to weather and walking spaces will vary.
What we're looking for
Knowledge of gardening and landscaping techniques, including the use of gardening equipment
Ability to work efficiently and effectively, both independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards
Good physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour tasks
A valid driver's licence
A white card
Excavator/loader tickets advantageous
