We’re a family-run business, deeply rooted in values that span generations. As we expand, we’re looking for an Orchard Supervisor. The successful applicant serve as the driving force behind our orchard operations, you will be key to ensuring the health, productivity, and sustainability of our almond trees. Your expertise and leadership will guide a dedicated team of orchard workers, contributing to the growth of our orchard and the production of high-quality almonds. This role will suit a passionate and experienced orchard professional who thrives in a hands-on environment. If you have a deep understanding of almond cultivation, a natural ability to lead and mentor a team, and a commitment to implementing innovative agricultural practices, this position offers a platform for you to excel. Key operational accountabilities include: Managing day-to-day orchard operations, including planting, pruning, irrigation, pest control, and harvesting. Monitoring and maintaining optimal tree health and growth through timely interventions and care. Implementing and executing effective orchard maintenance schedules and tasks. Supervising a team of orchard workers, providing guidance, training, and fostering a positive work environment. Ensuring compliance with safety protocols, industry regulations, and company policies. Keeping accurate records of orchard activities, inventory, and equipment maintenance. Collaborating with management to develop and execute annual orchard plans and budgets. Troubleshooting and resolving issues that may arise in orchard operations promptly. Implementing sustainable and innovative practices to enhance orchard productivity and efficiency. Conducting regular assessments and reporting on orchard performance and improvements. To be successful in the role you will possess the following: Previous experience in orchard management or a related field. Knowledge of orchard cultivation, best practices, and industry trends. Leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team. Excellent organisational and time management abilities. Basic computer skills. Solid understanding of irrigation systems and pest control methods. Problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure. Good communication skills for interacting with team members, vendors, and management. Physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
