Job Description
Murrumbidgee Local Health District are looking for an Oral Health Therapist who holds a passion for preventative dentistry takes a patient centred approach to their work.
As the OHT you will get the chance to travel within the district providing outreach services such as Primary School Mobile Dental Service, Aged Care and Multicultural Dental Services.
As the OHT, you will be responsible for:
* Providing evidence based clinical care to patients, to result in quality care and a contemporary approach to dental procedures and patient care.
* Delivering oral health promotion and preventative programs
* Utilising clinical tools, equipment and applications
* Maintaining accurate and appropriate clinical records, including paper based and electronic records
* Communicating with patients/carers ensuring consistent care and maximised health outcomes
About the Candidate
Sound clinical and diagnostic skills Understanding of and commitment to a preventative/population health approach to patient care. Evidence of continued professional development in evidence-based dentistry. Excellent oral and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to liaise effectively and sensitively with a wide range of individuals. Ability to work collaboratively as part of the team. Current Class C driver's license with ability and willingness to travel for work purposes
