We are currently seeking a Logistics Officer to join our team.
In this role you will assist the Stores department to order, receive, handle, sort and dispatch goods.
This is a permanent full time salaried role, Monday to Friday 40 hour week, with occasional Saturday work.
Your responsibilities (not limited to):
Receiving, scanning, sorting and placing incoming goods on shelvesMaintaining accurate records of inventory and stock levelsPicking and packing orders accurately and efficientlyUnloading and loading of containers/vehicles of goods both inwards and outwardsOperating computer systems to obtain details of stock quantity and locationOperating machinery such as a forklift to lift, place and remove itemsPerforming regular stock takes to ensure inventory accuracyConducting regular quality checks to ensure product integrityMaintaining a clean and organised warehouse environmentWorking in accordance with strict Work Health and Safety guidelinesOther duties to assist the team as required.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Proven relevant experience or similar role
Familiarity with inventory management software (considered an advantage)
Basic work exposure to inventory management systems and processes
Proactiveness and willingness to learn
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High level of attention to detail and excellent time management skills
Experience with computer programs (Microsoft Word and Excel)
Intermediate computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
The ability to multitask, work independently and as part of a team
Physical fitness and the ability to lift and carry up to 15 kgs
Current driver's license
A Forklift license (or experience and willingness to obtain)
Valid Visa with unlimited work rights.
