Geospatial Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced and motivated professional to lead our Geospatial team and deliver high-quality spatial services across Council. This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring our geospatial systems, data and services are reliable, accessible and aligned with organisational priorities. Working closely with staff and stakeholders, you will guide the delivery of geospatial projects and initiatives that support informed decision-making and improved outcomes for the community. What we will offer you: Remuneration package of $3,893.46 gross per fortnight with the opportunity to progress to $4,672.15 gross per fortnight + superannuation (12%). Your new role: This position is responsible for leading the planning, delivery and ongoing management of Council’s geospatial systems and services. This position will have a strong focus on providing leadership to the Geospatial team, developing and maintaining spatial information strategies, and ensuring geospatial data and tools are effectively applied to support organisational priorities, service delivery and community outcomes. Key responsibilities of the role include: Leading and managing the Geospatial team to deliver high-quality services to staff and the community. Developing, implementing and maintaining Council’s Spatial Information Plan. Coordinating geospatial systems projects, policies, procedures and support services. Providing expert advice and guidance to stakeholders on geospatial matters. Managing relationships with vendors and suppliers associated with Council’s geospatial applications. Contributing to ICT planning and projects that enhance Council’s use of geospatial systems. What you will need to succeed: Tertiary qualifications and/or post graduate qualifications relating to Geospatial Science, Information Technology or similar. Substantial work experience relevant to the role including geospatial data management, systems administration and the use of key spatial software applications. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to supervise and develop a team, as well as contribute to strategic and operational planning. What is next?
