Yarrabee Park is seeking a passionate and experienced Farm Manager to lead our team and drive operational excellence across our broadacre cropping enterprise. This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for day-to-day farm management, people leadership, financial oversight, and ensuring a strong safety culture.
In February 2023 Altora Ag Services Pty Ltd was born from the merging of BFB and Daybreak cropping. We are one of the largest cropping producers with 41 farms across 10 aggregations in four states.
About your new location Yarrabee Park is located approximately 25 kms south of Narrandera and is located at Morundah, a small town in the Murray region of New South Wales, Australia just off the Newell Highway. The farm is close to 10,000 ha's with mostly wheat and canola crops.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement the annual cropping plan in consultation with agronomists and the corporate team.
Oversee all aspects of crop production, including spraying, soil preparation, planting, crop protection, fertiliser application, and harvest.
Adapt plans to seasonal conditions and communicate changes to all stakeholders.
Manage farm financials, including record keeping, monthly reporting.
Maintain and develop farm assets, ensuring timely maintenance and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Build and maintain strong relationships with local agribusinesses, contractors, and the broader community.
Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of farm employees, including recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training.
Champion a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Manage contractors and visitors, ensuring all services are secured and contracts are in place.
Represent Yarrabee Park positively within the local community and participate in relevant events and groups.
About You
Minimum 5 years’ practical experience in broadacre cropping. You must have full working rights in Australia.
Skilled in operating and maintaining modern farming machinery.
Familiar with GPS technology and proficient in Office IT systems.
Hold a current driver’s licence and relevant equipment licences.
ChemCert certification (or equivalent), with confined spaces and working at heights accreditation (loader and forklift competencies desirable).
Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to high standards.
Proven leadership skills with experience managing, mentoring, and developing teams.
