An experienced CNC Stone Machine Operator / Stone Fabricator responsible for cutting and fabricating natural stone, engineered stone and porcelain products. The role involves operating CNC machinery, including waterjet and bridge saw equipment, reading technical drawings, checking finished products and completing general stone fabrication duties.

Task & responsibilities
- Operate and set up CNC stone-processing machinery, including waterjet and bridge saw equipment.
- Interpret technical drawings, measurements, templates and CAD/digital files to manufacture components accurately.
- Cut and process natural stone, engineered stone and porcelain, including detailed cuts, sink/cooktop cut-outs and tap holes.
- Load, position and handle stone slabs and finished components safely using appropriate lifting equipment.
- Monitor CNC machinery, make required adjustments and identify or troubleshoot machining issues.
- Inspect materials and completed components to ensure dimensions, finish and quality meet job specifications.
- Carry out stone fabrication, polishing, edge finishing and preparation as required.
- Perform routine machine cleaning and basic maintenance and report faults or repair requirements.
- Work with management, templaters, fabricators and installers to meet production schedules and deadlines.
- Maintain a safe and organised workplace, following WHS, PPE and silica-dust control requirements.
Qualification & experience
- Relevant trade qualifications or at least three years of relevant experience as a Stonemason.
- More than 3 years of relevant experience in stone fabrication and/or CNC stone-processing machinery
- Strong CNC stone-processing and machine operation skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and work accurately to required tolerances.
- Sound knowledge of stone cutting, fabrication, machining and finishing processes.
- Strong attention to detail, quality control and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to safely handle stone products and operate within WHS requirements.
- Good communication, teamwork and ability to work independently.
- Good time management and ability to meet production deadlines.
