We are seeking internal expressions of interest for a Process Controller in the Green Mill at our Tumbarumba. In this role you will learn to optimise, manage and maintain the quality of production and technical (scanning and optimisation) systems within the sawmill. The process control team consists of two (2) technicians, who work collaboratively together and with the Optimization Lead to achieve the key outcomes listed below. This role will be predominantly based on the day shift. Key Outcomes All our people go home in the same condition they came to work, safety before production. Manage quality of production, incl size control, grading and sawing finish evaluation Understand and control optimisation settings, including product value and machine setups. Monitor the product mix and highlight and correct variances to align to the plan. Lead and support system and machine maintenance, including calibrations, alignments and other checks. Support the shift leadership team and development of technical and operating skills within the mill. About you: Safety conscious and solutions focused. Autonomous worker with strong initiative Agile, flexible and adaptable – responds to challenges and enjoys problem solving. Good collaboration and communication skills to share information with others. Proactive and Innovative – looks for opportunities for continuous improvement. Technical knowledge of sawmilling and sawmill systems, or the ability to learn. High attention to detail, and accuracy is important to you. Available to work flexibly across rosters as required for training and or coverage.
