Position Overview Table 451 Eat + Drink is seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join the kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, preparing, and cooking menu items, maintaining food quality standards, and supervising kitchen operations. Key Duties and Responsibilities Planning menus in consultation with management, considering customer preferences and seasonal ingredients. Estimating food and labour costs and managing kitchen budgets. Preparing and cooking a wide range of dishes to a consistently high standard. Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation. Demonstrating techniques and advising kitchen staff on cooking procedures. Supervising and coordinating activities of cooks and kitchen staff. Ensuring all food is prepared and stored in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations. Checking the quality of raw ingredients and finished dishes. Managing stock levels, ordering supplies, and controlling kitchen inventory. Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety standards. Skills and Requirements Relevant qualification such as Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery , Diploma of Hospitality Management , or equivalent. At least two years of relevant full-time work experience as a Chef (preferred). Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations. Ability to plan menus and manage kitchen workflow. Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and WHS practices. Leadership and team supervision skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays. What We Offer Full-time position with salary of $74,950 + 12% superannuation .
