The Royal Hotel Adelong in NSW, is looking for qualified and experienced Chef on full-time basis who is passionate about food and has ability to handle busy and pressure kitchen environment while maintaining the industry and restaurant standards. Your Responsibilities include (but not limited to): • Prepare and execute dishes and menus with colleagues • Meet with customers to discuss menus for special occasions • Menu planning including special menu, group and functions menu • Prepare food to meet special dietary requirements• Lead and manage all aspects of the kitchen operation • Oversee food plating and garnishing, maintaining consistency and artistic presentation • Monitoring all dishes for quality, presentation and portion control • Regulate the temperature of stoves and oven to ensure the dishes are cooked at appropriate levels • Ensuring food handling and storage is in accordance with food handling regulations and is of the highest standard Inspect facilities or equipment for regulatory compliance • Requisition stock, materials, supplies or equipment • Recruit and hire staff, including cooks and another kitchen worker • Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to staff • Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure conformance to established • Enforce strict health and hygiene standards • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen • Demonstrate strong work ethics and a 'can do' attitude to motivate the team and maintain good relationships Skills and experience you must be fully qualified –• AQF associate degree, Certificate III, Certificate IV, or Diploma certification in relevant Hospitality qualification. • You must have proven experience as a Chef in a busy kitchen for at least One year or above • Experience in the smooth running of food service for the functioning hours of business • Creative and Proficiency in rostering, cost control & food safety management The advertised positions are Full-time (38 hours per week, minimum) salary range between $70,000 - $80,000 plus superannuation.
