Job Description
Our client is a long-established engineering company in the Albury/Wodonga region producing one-off, small-batch and complex components across a range of industries.
This is not repetitive production machining. You will be involved in the complete machining process.
THE ROLE
* Mastercam programming
* CAD/CAM design and component development
* Program CNC milling and machining centres
* Set and operate CNC machinery
* Develop machining strategies
* Select tooling, speeds and feeds
* Prove out and optimise programs
* One-off and small-batch machining
* Precision and complex component work
About the Candidate
You may be a CAD/CAM Programmer, CNC Machinist, Fitter & Turner or Toolmaker with strong CNC skills.
Ideally you will have:
* Strong Mastercam experience
* CNC programming, setting and operating skills
* Ability to work from drawings and 3D models
* Good knowledge of tooling and machining methods
* Strong problem-solving ability
* CNC milling / machining centre experience
* High standard of workmanship
Multi-axis machining experience would be highly regarded.
The ideal person can look at a component, work out how to manufacture it, program the machine and then produce the finished part.
