Description DIRECTORATE: Business, Growth and CommunityCLASSIFICATION: Grade ISALARY: $58.06 to $67.35 per hour + 12% employer contribution to superannuationREPORTING TO: DCEO BG&CEMPLOYMENT TYPE: Temporary Part Time – up to 18 monthsTHE POSITION: To provide support, advice and guidance to AlburyCity leaders who have been assigned responsibility for implementing recommendations from the Internal Budget Process Review and the external Budget Review and Analysis Independent Audit.
Responsibilities KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Budget Process Improvement
Work with and assist relevant AlburyCity leaders with the development of an implementation plan to address recommendations from the internal Budget Process Review (including identified DCEO business improvements).
Implementation of Independent Audit recommendations
Work with and assist relevant AlburyCity leaders with the development of an implementation plan to address recommendations from the external Budget Review and Analysis Independent Audit.
Financial Sustainability Improvement Plan Review
Coordinate the review and update of AlburyCity’s Financial Sustainability Improvement Plan.
Coordination & Leadership
Establish a governance structure to guide the establishment, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the actions plans.
Lead, coordinate, support and monitor the implementation of the action plan across relevant teams and stakeholders within agreed timeframes.
Facilitate collaboration among leaders, subject matter experts, and contributors.
Schedule and lead where required regular coordination meetings to review progress and resolve issues.
Monitoring & Reporting
Track the completion of actions and follow up with responsible parties.
Document outcomes, impacts, and lessons learned.
Develop and maintain dashboards or reports to communicate progress to stakeholders.
Prepare regular updates and briefings for senior leaders.
Risk & Resource Management
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Escalate issues that may impact delivery timelines or outcomes.
Assess and communicate resource requirements to support implementation.
Communication & Engagement
Coordinate internal and external communications related to the action plan.
Ensure stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the implementation process.
Using the PCI methodology, support change management and engagement activities as needed.
General
Perform other tasks or duties as directed by the Supervisor which are within the limits of the employee's skill, competence and training.

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:
Based on a 35 hour week, working a minimum of 15 hours, with actual days and times being negotiated with your supervisor.
Additional hours up to 35 hours per week may be worked by agreement, and this will be paid at the ordinary rate of pay.
This position does not require you to wear a compulsory uniform, however you must follow the dress code requirements within the AlburyCity’s Our People Dress Code Standards. Our People are required to present a smart and professional image to the public at all times including when in public and when working remotely.
This position involves working in a predominantly indoor environment and using a computer is considered a core component of the role. There may be occasional visits to other work locations. The position requires an average level of aerobic and physical fitness to undertake occasional physical activities, such as walking and lifting, along with general manual handling tasks as part of a normal working environment. A medical declaration is required for this position.
This position requires evidence of a current Australian National Police Check.
This position is subject to alcohol and other drug testing
This position is located at the AlburyCity Administration Building, 553 Kiewa Street, Albury with occasional visits to external sites/depots as required.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
Tertiary qualification in a related field or demonstrated contemporary experience in a similar role.
High level written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to manage competing priorities autonomously.
Ability to develop, maintain both internal and external stakeholder relationships to achieve outcomes that contribute to the achievement of the organisation’s strategic goals.
DESIRABLE CRITERIA:
Previous experience in supporting/completing projects.
Class C (Standard) Driver's License
EXPERIENCE:
Experience working in Local Government
Experience in developing financial management policy and procedures
SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Sound understanding of:
Local government procurement processes
Project management principles
Corporate budget policy, principles and processes
Ability to interpret legislation and guidelines
