Climate: Summer is hot with plenty of sunshine and warm days. Temperatures vary but in excess of 30 degrees celsius is not uncommon. Winter months have mild days and cold nights.
Cootamundra has a mean maximum temp of 22.4ºC and mean minimum temp of 7.7ºC. 550 mm of rain fell over 91 days.

Main Attraction
Bradman’s Birthplace
Granny Scholz, the mid-wife who delivered “The greatest batsman the world has ever known” on 27th August 1908, operated a small private hospital in the front room of the building at 89 Adams Street. The Don’s birthplace has been lovingly restored and refurbished and the adjacent cottage is now home to a wonderfully rich display of Bradman and Australian cricket memorabilia.
Admission is $3.00 for adults and children under 16 are free. The Birthplace is open 7 days a week, except for Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

Cootamundra Hospital is a 33 bed level 3 hospital and provides acute and community health care services. The hospital provides emergency, surgical, obstetric, paediatric and high dependency care.
The Cootamundra Medical Centre has 6 doctors A range of qualified health professionals including child and family health, speech therapy, asthma and respiratory education, audiometry, community nursing, diabetes education, dietetics/nutrition service, drug and alcohol counselling, immunisation, women’s health, child and adolescent and adult mental health, dementia day care, aged care assessments, occupational therapy, day centre for the aged and palliative care centres.

Cootamundra Creative Arts and Cultural Centre
The Arts Centre is the hub of creativity in Cootamundra and the surrounding district, providing a stimulating, creative environment for all ages. It offers courses, workshops, performances, seminars and activities across many of the arts including music, theatre, sculpture, painting, pottery and stained glass. New activities and courses are being added regularly as the centre grows.

GM Scott processes 3,500 lambs and 200 cattle daily. It produces its own products, beef, lamb, meal, by-products and skins, under the Noble Farm brand name.

Saturday
Breakfast at one our Boutique coffee shops for Fresh Organic Coffee and Think Sliced Raison Toast.
Meander down Wallendoon Street to picturesque Jubliee Park to visit one of Cootamundra’s most unique Attractions. The Captains Walk features 42 bronze sculptures of Australian Test Cricket Captains, along with Unaarrimim the leading aboriginal player in the first Australian cricket team to tour England in 1868. A life-sized statue of Sir Donald Bradman in typical cover drive stance takes pride of place in the Park.
Head back down to Parker Street and visit many of the country shops we have in our main street. Head to 89 Adams Street to visit the Birthplace of The Greatest Batsman the world has ever known..Sir Donald Bradman.
A short trip on the road to Wallendbeen will find you at Yandilla Mustard Seeds. Yandilla Mustard Oil Enterprise is Australia's first cold pressed mustard oil mill. Stop here at Kaye’s new Tea House for a beautiful light lunch in a lovely Australian country setting.

Sunday
All day breakfast at a main street coffee shop before heading to the Cootamundra Creative Arts and Cultural Centre for a tour and an arts class if you desire. The arts centre is still a work in progress with its most recent work being a 122 seat theatre.
A drive around the streets of Cootamundra and through our original village settlements of Wallendbeen and Stockinbingal you will see people living relaxed, unhurried and peaceful lives in quaint cottages with pretty gardens. A drive through one of our Bird Routes takes in the beauty of our natural surroundings.
On arriving back in Cootamundra head to the Visitors Information Centre and the Gateway Gallery Cafe for delicious food and wonderful coffee to end your day.
